In-Mould Labeling (IML)
Fuse label and container into a single seamless body with advanced In-Mould Labeling (IML) technology for a sustainable, resilient, and premium shelf presentation.
What is In-Mould Labeling (IML)?
In-Mould Labeling (IML) is an advanced packaging manufacturing process where a pre-printed polypropylene (PP) substrate is placed directly inside the container mould prior to plastic injection or blow moulding.
During the moulding cycle, molten polymer merges completely with the label, resulting in a single unified piece. Unlike conventional self-adhesive labels, IML labels cannot peel, blister, or detach, providing total structural integrity. It is the premier choice for brands in food, chemicals, and cosmetics.
Application Methods:
- Injection Moulding: Ice cream tubs, cheese containers, yogurt pots, and rigid food tubs.
- Blow Moulding: Personal care shampoo bottles, detergent jerrycans, and chemical canisters.
- Thermoforming: Rigid plastic deli trays and specialized portioned containers.

Key Strategic Benefits of IML Technology
Flawless Aesthetics & Photographic Clarity
High-resolution offset and flexo printing delivers vivid color saturation and crisp graphics. Because the label is cast into the container, labeling misalignment and bubbling risks are completely eliminated.
Maximum Environmental Resilience
IML containers are exceptionally resistant to moisture, severe temperature fluctuations (deep freezing to microwave heating), and mechanical scratching. The label cannot tear or peel.
100% Single-Step Recyclability
Because both container and label are manufactured from identical polypropylene (PP) polymer, the entire packaging can be recycled in a single stream without separation, supporting circular ESG goals.
Production Speed & Operational Efficiency
Manufacturing and labeling occur simultaneously in one automated cycle. Post-moulding labeling stations, extra labor, and handling bottlenecks are entirely eliminated.
